2023 GSK IMPACT Award winners

Our congratulations go to the 10 charities that have won 2023 GSK IMPACT Awards for their outstanding contributions to improving the UK’s health and wellbeing. We are delighted to announce The Rainbow Foundation is the 2023 overall winner. 

The following organisations will receive a £40,000 donation, plus two places on a free training and development programme and an invitation to join the GSK IMPACT Awards Development Network with its programme of free meetings and events.

Overall winners

The Rainbow Foundation - an active ageing charity delivering outstanding services to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. The charity was named overall winner of the 2023 GSK IMPACT Awards at an award ceremony at The King’s Fund on 18 May. As the overall winner, The Rainbow Foundation will receive an additional £10,000 in funding.

The winners

  • Aurora New Dawn - supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.

  • Birth Companions - supporting and empowering women facing inequality and disadvantage

  • Croydon BME Forum - working to tackle health inequalities and improve the physical and mental health of ethnic minority communities in Croydon. 

  • LGBT Switchboard - connecting the LGBTQ+ people of Sussex with targeted support since 1975.

  • New Citizens' Gateway – supporting the physical and mental well-being of asylum seekers and refugees in London and beyond.

  • Red Rose Recovery Lancashire - improving individual lives, building resilience, empowering service user voice, and creating stronger, better connected families and communities.

  • Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care - providing older people with a helping hand when they need it most.

  • StreetDoctors - empowering young people affected by street violence with emergency lifesaving skills and increasing their knowledge about the consequences of violence, to keep themselves and their communities safe.

  • The Cellar Trust - providing mental health services to support people in Bradford District and Craven.
