2021 GSK IMPACT Awards: SARSAS

An estimated 20,000 individuals in Avon and Somerset experienced sexual violence every year, with only approximately 15% of victims reporting to the police. SARSAS, the only sexual violence support organisation in rural Avon and Somerset, takes a multi-faceted approach to addressing sexual violence through counselling, specialist services for those with additional needs including learning disabilities and autism, and running training and awareness raising campaigns.
