Based in Newcastle for over 25 years, Healthworks is one of the leading North East charities working with disadvantaged local communities to tackle health inequalities and improve their health and wellbeing through social prescribing. It offers a range of commissioned services, including exercise, nutrition, stop smoking support, NHS health checks, falls prevention programmes and cancer awareness work. Their patron is Professor Sir Michael Marmot.
