The Inquiry into the Quality of General Practice in England is overseen by an inquiry panel chaired by Sir Ian Kennedy.

The project is made up of:

  • Professor Steve Field, Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners
  • Dr Rebecca Rosen, a GP and senior fellow at the Nuffield Trust
  • Ursula Gallagher, Director of quality, clinical governance and clinical practice at NHS Ealing

Project team

  • Dr Nick Goodwin, Senior Fellow at The King's Fund acts as project director for the inquiry
  • Teresa Poole acts as Secretary to the inquiry
  • Professor Martin Roland from the University of Cambridge acts as an adviser to the Inquiry having previously acted as a Panel member up to April 2010
