Older people often require a range of services from different sources. Integrated care offers a co-ordinated approach to meet their often complex needs.
It can also be used by service users, their carers, and older people's organisations, to assess the policies in place in their countries or regions.
The publication was funded by the European Commission, and is one of several publications produced by the Care and Management of Services for Older People in Europe Network (CARMEN), which is run by the European Health Management Association (EHMA).
