Durka is a doctor, and a senior consultant and programme director in the leadership and organisational development team. She leads several population health, systems transformation and clinical leadership initiatives across the UK. Durka uses positive approaches to foster strong, joined-up systems at individual, organisation, local, regional, and national levels.
Before joining the Fund, Durka worked for the NHS as Head of Population Health and Transformation supporting 13 health and care organisations improve the health of 600,000 people across two London boroughs. Previously she worked for Health Education England as a public health consultant, and has been a senior fellow in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at King’s College Hospital, and a senior NHS commissioning manager in London.
Durka holds Masters in health care leadership, Masters in public health, and Fellowship in public health. She is a Professor of health, sports and bioscience, and works part-time across two universities supporting workforce development and population health.
