Sarah Arnold

Senior Policy Lead Responsive Policy

Sarah joined The King’s Fund in September 2024. She leads the responsive policy team, which focusses on identifying, analysing and communicating emerging policy issues.

Sarah previously worked at the British Medical Association (BMA), leading an Economics and Policy Support Team – providing economic and fiscal analysis and quantitative research support for projects and teams across the organisation. Her work there included analysis on doctor pay, pensions, and workforce related issues.

Before working at the BMA, she worked at the New Economics Foundation where she conducted research on a range of areas at the intersection between health and the economy, including social security and the interlinkage between poverty and health, as well as research into local government finances. She also worked for the consultancy side of the organisation conducting social cost–benefit analyses and evaluations of health and wellbeing programmes, including the NHS’s Health as a Social Movement programme. She has an Economics degree from the University of Edinburgh.
