Rachel Worsley

Research Director, Ipsos MORI

Rachel is a director in Ipsos MORI’s health and social care team, leading on NHS workforce and regulator research and evaluation. She recently directed the evaluation of revalidation among nurses and midwives for the National Midwifery Council, and has previously carried out research for the British Medical Association on what matters to doctors when making job choices. She has also directed several projects on recruiting and retaining staff for NHS England, including research with GPs to inform the development of the General practice forward view and work on the drivers and barriers to general practice nursing.

Rachel has more than 14 years’ experience as a mixed-method researcher across both the health and criminal justice sectors. Before joining Ipsos MORI in 2007, she was part of the research team at Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons, sparking her interest in inspection and regulation. She has also previously worked as a primary school teacher.
