GP and Chief Clinical Officer, NHS Bexley Clinical Commissioning Group

Dr Nikita Kanani is a GP in south-east London and Chief Clinical Officer of NHS Bexley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). She has held a range of positions within the CCG to support the development of integrated care, primary care, clinical leadership and patient/public engagement and is passionate about improving service provision and population health.

Nikita has been honorary secretary of the National Association of Primary Care and national quality lead for the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, the CCG lead for community clinics and diabetes, medical adviser for NHS Direct, clinical lead for a large community provider trust, primary care trust lead for winter planning and screening assurance, and service modernisation lead for an acute trust. She is also a member of The King's Fund General Advisory Council.

Nikita is a Royal College of General Practitioners clinical commissioning champion. She holds an MSc in health care commissioning and has a postgraduate certificate in managing in health and social care.
