Nicola is Assistant Director in the Leadership and Organisational Development team at The King’s Fund. Her work is focused on supporting clinicians, managers and leaders to design and deliver better health and care services. She has a particular interest in the development of more ‘joined-up care’ for people.
Before joining The King’s Fund in 2012, Nicola worked as a director in the health consulting practice at PwC for six years. In this role she was responsible for securing and implementing large, complex multi-site support programmes across the UK. Nicola has also taught and conducted health services research and policy analysis in a variety of sectors, including central government, academia and the NHS. Much of this work has been focused on community and primary care services.
Nicola has a PhD in exploring the nature of organisational change secured by GP practices and community health services, and an MSc in Health Policy and Management. She is also the author of several reports and papers on a range of health and care issues, and holds a range of post-graduate qualifications in dialogue, facilitation, coaching and action learning. Nicola has also held non-executive and trustee roles in health and care organisations.
