Helen McKenna
Former, Senior FellowHelen left the Fund in March 2022.
Helen is a generalist whose role spanned the Fund’s policy and communications functions and involved identifying, analysing and communicating emerging policy issues as well as advising on their implications.
Before joining the Fund, Helen was principal policy adviser on health and social care at Which? where her work included campaigns to improve the transparency of dental charges and to make it easier for people to complain about public services.
Helen also worked at the Department of Health as a fast-stream trainee and then as a manager. Her roles at the Department included working on the Health and Social Care Act reforms, leading a review of the NHS Constitution and developing a programme of collaboration on health matters between China and the UK.
Helen has an MSc in health policy from Imperial College, London.
