Gary is in the Policy Team and the lead researcher for delivering the Leveraging innovation to support care closer to home study in partnership with Roche. Alongside, Gary is interested in the intersection between adult and children’s social care and health, reflecting that he is also a registered social worker, and has lived experience of services.
Prior to joining the Fund in 2026, Gary was a research fellow at Warwick Business School. Under the Applied (health) Research Centre West Midlands, Gary has undertaken research on collaborative innovation, and leadership development in the NHS. He led on the West Midlands branch of the national EXIT study, exploring processes of innovation to support young people transitioning from care to adulthood. Gary holds a PhD in organisational science and management from University of Warwick.
