Dr Dominic King is the Vice President of Health at Microsoft AI, where he works to bring the latest advances in artificial intelligence to support patients and the public on their journey to better health.

Dominic previously practised as an academic general surgeon at Imperial College London, where he still serves as an honorary clinical lecturer. He has led applied research programmes across patient safety, digital health and health policy, publishing more than 100 research papers in journals including Nature, The Lancet and Health Affairs. He completed his medical degree at the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester and his Masters and PhD at Imperial College London. As part of his PhD in behavioural economics, he co-authored the Mindspace report, which served as the initial operating framework for the Behavioural Insights Team established by the UK government.

Prior to his current role, Dominic founded the digital health company Hark, which was acquired by Google in 2015. He went on to lead the health team at Google DeepMind before running a clinical technologies group at UnitedHealth Group based in the US.
