Nicola Walsh
Nicola Walsh joined The King's Fund from PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was a senior member of the health consulting practice.
Nicola has a track record of delivering and evaluating complex change programmes in health care. She has a Masters in Health Policy and Management and a Doctorate in Health Services Research. She is a skilled facilitator and has extensive experience of working in the NHS – first as a clinician, then as a researcher at the Centre of Health Economics in York.
In 1995, Nicola joined the Health Services Management Centre at the University of Birmingham, where she was involved in a range of research and consultancy activities. She also had a key role in delivering a number of post-graduate programmes.
Nicola has particular expertise in the areas of primary care, community health services and general practice. Her PhD thesis awarded in 2006 focused on the nature of change secured in and by general practice.
