Catherine Foot

Assistant Director, Policy

Catherine joined the policy directorate at The King's Fund in March 2009, and is currently managing a programme of work on quality and outcomes, looking at issues such as the measurement and reporting of quality and outcomes information. She is also working with Cancer Research UK as the Programme Director of the International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership, a Department of Health-led initiative to study why cancer survival rates vary between countries with similar health systems and expenditures on health.

Catherine's background is in cancer policy. Prior to joining The King's Fund, she was Head of Policy at Cancer Research UK, where she worked on cancer services reform, public health, health inequalities and medical science policy, and helped to lead a number of voluntary sector coalitions including the Cancer Campaigning Group. She has also worked in the Department of Health, in both the analysis and cancer policy teams, and has a Masters in Public Policy.

Catherine is currently on maternity leave.
