Here we highlight our research, analysis, events and other content relevant to the main themes in the report. Completed project The evolving NHS The NHS is evolving. Following the publication of the NHS five year forward view, a number of vanguard sites are developing new models of care in which commissioners and providers are working together in different ways to achieve closer integration of services. This change is happening quickly and has significant implications for the health and care system. Active project Supporting new NHS care models The King's Fund is working with NHS and care organisations to support the development of the new care models set out in the NHS five year forward view. Completed project Midwifery regulation in the United Kingdom In 2014, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) commissioned The King's Fund to undertake a review of midwifery regulation in the United Kingdom. Completed project A Transformation Fund to sustain the future of the NHS The King's Fund and The Health Foundation have called for transformation funds to finance and drive forward essential changes to services. Completed project Dalton review Sir David Dalton's review on new options for providers of NHS care considered issues such as single leadership teams for networks of hospitals and services. Completed project Evaluation of the CQC's acute hospital regulatory model We are working with Manchester Business School to examine how the new approach to acute hospital inspection works, how well it measures hospitals' performance, how it is implemented and what impact it has. Completed project Developing the CQC's approach to the assessment of leadership, culture and governance We developed a conceptual model and supporting tools for assessing culture and leadership that will be used by the CQC in their inspections from April 2014. Completed project The new NHS: economic regulation The Health and Social Care Act sets out Monitor's role as the regulator for health care with responsibility, among other things, for economic regulation in health care. Completed project Vision for volunteering in health This project looked at the role, size, scope and value of volunteering in the health and social care sector, and at how the health reforms will impact on volunteering.
