Completed project The NHS five year forward view The NHS five year forward view set out a positive vision for the future based around seven new models of care. Here we highlight our research, analysis, events and other content relevant to the main themes in the report. Completed project The evolving NHS The NHS is evolving. Following the publication of the NHS five year forward view, a number of vanguard sites are developing new models of care in which commissioners and providers are working together in different ways to achieve closer integration of services. This change is happening quickly and has significant implications for the health and care system. Active project Supporting new NHS care models The King's Fund is working with NHS and care organisations to support the development of the new care models set out in the NHS five year forward view. Completed project Midwifery regulation in the United Kingdom In 2014, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) commissioned The King's Fund to undertake a review of midwifery regulation in the United Kingdom. Completed project A Transformation Fund to sustain the future of the NHS The King's Fund and The Health Foundation have called for transformation funds to finance and drive forward essential changes to services. Completed project Vision for volunteering in health This project looked at the role, size, scope and value of volunteering in the health and social care sector, and at how the health reforms will impact on volunteering. Completed project Partners for Health in London This project aims to assist health care providers in London to make explicit their ideas and explanations about how and why particular health care innovations work. Completed project Safer Births project The Safer Births programme enabled frontline professionals working in maternity units to improve the safety of the services they deliver to women and their babies.
