About this event
One of the models of care described in the NHS five year forward view, published by NHS England and other national NHS bodies (2014), is the multi-specialty community provider (MCP). This involves the development of federations, networks and super partnerships to enable general practices to operate on the scale required to deliver a wider range of services. These services would include those provided by some specialists alongside other professionals such as nurses, therapists, pharmacists, social workers and psychologists.
This conference provided the opportunity to look at how primary care can shape this new model of care and work with partners across the health and care landscape to deliver more integrated services in the community.
