Present at the congress

We’re inviting those working in health and care across the world to present their projects at the event. Join us in July to help shape the pace and scale of the adoption of technology in the English health system.

Your projects

  • Prevention and improving access to care
Projects might include: self-care apps; digital access to rehabilitation services; patient access to care records or digital messaging to benefit public health.
  • Cross-sector working
Projects might include: shared care records, interoperability and data sharing projects or technology to enable place-based working
  • Care design and delivery
Projects might include: improving the quality and experience of care for patients; ways of engaging clinicians and service users in design of care pathways or using digital technology to change the way care is delivered.

The aim of the event is to share learning and encourage adoption, so your project should be active, showing digital technology in practice under one of the project themes above.

We are also keen to hear about some of the challenges you may have faced in undertaking the project and how you have overcome them.

We encourage you to submit your project; however, we would ask that it is presented by someone from the health care organisation you’re working with. If you want to demonstrate your software please contact us to talk about sponsorship opportunities that allow you to do this.

Please try to avoid using your submission as a sales pitch for your software or app. The aim of the event is to share learning of successful adoption of digital technology so please focus on outcomes of the project.

Please go to www.conftool.pro/digital-health-care-2018 and follow the submission instructions. You'll need to:

  • enter names and details of the presenting authors, including job titles and organisations
  • indicate which of the three themes you are submitting under
  • include a structured abstract of no more than 500 words including: introduction, aims and objectives, method, results, conclusions.

The deadline for submitting projects is Friday 15 December 2017. All submissions will be reviewed by an independent committee and you’ll be notified of their decision by Friday 26 January 2018.

All projects are reviewed by an independent committee.

Reviewers will look at:

  • quality of content
  • significance for practice
  • relevance to the themes (above)
  • originality and innovation.

If your project is accepted, you’ll be given 15 minutes to present it during one of the breakout sessions.

You will be given one complimentary ticket for your presenter to attend both days of the congress. If you would like to bring additional people to present your project, they will be offered a discounted rate. Please note, The King’s Fund cannot pay travel expenses for speakers due to the number of projects being presented.
