The recently published Interim NHS people plan places an important focus on making the NHS a better place to work. This event, jointly hosted by The King’s Fund and NHS England and NHS Improvement, explores the type of cultures we want to nurture in the health and care system and why, with insights from experts working in the system.

Our agenda will support leaders to develop their understanding of the different types of cultures that could work as a solution, such as learning or just, safety, improvement, compassionate and inclusive, and how they join up.

Shifting the culture to where it needs to be will take time, along with investment and persistence  from leaders at every level of the system. This event provides an opportunity to come together and gain practical guidance on how to make this change a reality. Join us on 24 October and learn how leaders within the system can build cultures that are continuously improving and innovating to be compassionate and support quality and safe care.

"We need to promote positive cultures, build a pipeline of compassionate and engaging leaders and make the NHS an agile, inclusive and modern employer if we are to attract and retain the people we need to deliver our plans"
Interim People Plan, June 2019
