About this masterclass

This masterclass is an opportunity to review and update your knowledge on strategic quality improvement approaches and their relevance to creating positive organisational cultures and better outcomes for patients. We will showcase two examples of quality improvement-driven cultures from US health care: Mayo Clinic and Intermountain Healthcare. We will also examine the aspects of these cultures that are relevant to our health care system in the United Kingdom.

CPD points will be awarded for attending this masterclass.

The speaker

This masterclass will be delivered by Vijaya Nath, Director of Leadership Development at The King's Fund.

Vijaya heads up the Fund's work on medical leadership and has significant experience in the design and development of innovative leadership programmes and senior organisational development consultancy.

She is a visiting Professor at Milan's SDA Bocconi School of Management and is Facilitator and Chair at The Windsor Leadership Trust.

Vijaya has a degree in modern languages and politics and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Adult Learning) and an MA from The Institute of Education, University of London. She is a European Mentoring and Coaching Council accredited coach.
