Thank you, Dr. Halpern, for this timely post. The potential for nudges in public health is enormous. You rightly ask for more effective schemes with evidence. As providers of weight loss incentives in the UK, we see lots of promising activity both here and in the US. But the adoption of such schemes in public health will only happen if the Behaviour Insights Team champions them and overcomes the prejudices against health incentives which prevail in the public sector.
Any thoughts on how that insight applies to people's use of A and E?
