Stephen is right. I have been re-imagining a healthcare system which teaches patients (and citizens from school up) to look after themselves. Mindfulness is the route to this, and the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 8 week course (NICE-recommended) is the treatment which GPs should be able to prescribe as an alternative to Prozac. see www.sectco.org.
