I agree that with people living longer with chronic conditions we will have to provide a more bespoke service around individuals. We already have such a service in the UK and it has largely gone unnoticed: the 200,000 disabled and elderly people who employ their own carers / PAs so enabling them to live independently in their own homes. They are a group largely unsupported, unregulated and without a national voice however SEMPA believes they are probably the best resource to help us 'think differently'.
