It is excellent to see in Kate's speech a recognition that housing has a role to play in this debate. Given the inequalities in health driven by deprivation social housing providers are located and active in precisely the communities that need most support. They share the same aim of keeping people out of hospital and in their homes. It is critical that housing is not seen as an add on to this debate rather that it is seen as a central resource and key partner if long term radical change is to be secured.
