Dr Geraldine Strathdee, National Clinical Director for Mental Health, NHS England, delivered the keynote address at our event on mental health. As well as imparting practical guidance for improving mental health, she emphasised the importance of promoting evidence-based practice in places of work and schools and highlighted her top four priorities for improving mental health: galvanising leaders across the system; knowing the facts about mental health services, needs and outcomes; having a vision of what good care looks like in the new health landscape; and giving people an opportunity to talk about their conditions.
