Part of Commission on the Future of Health and Social Care in England

Claire Jones, an occupational therapist and a member of the experts by experience group gives her response to the commission's interim report.

Claire agreed with the commissioners that a new settlement for health and social care funding was necessary, particular with changes to demography and the increasing pressures on social care. She urged people to remember that the poorest people in society are usually the people with the greatest health care needs, and so warned that charges for treatment would be regressive.
