Chris Jones, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, NHS Wales, addressed delegates at our recent medical leadership event. He advocated for improvements to the health service through a process of 'trust and altruism' rather than 'targets and terror'. While he stated his belief that there is a great deal of activity in clinical leadership development, a visionary statement for leaders is currently lacking.
