Sarah joined The King's Fund in 2011 as a Visiting Clinical Fellow. She also works as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Registrar at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
Alongside her interests in mental health and children's health care, Sarah has an interest in quality improvement in health care systems and the use of quality initiatives and measurement to aid this. Her current work at the Fund involves looking at whole system quality measurement along care pathways.
Sarah was previously seconded to work for the NHS Medical Director at the Department of Health, where she worked in health care policy and looked at the quality improvement and engagement of junior doctors. She is co-author of The Junior Doctors Guide to the NHS (BMJ/DH 2009). Sarah has an MSc in Psychiatric Research Methods from University College London and is a member of both the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
