Patrick has overall responsibility for the Fund’s communications and information and knowledge services. He joined The King's Fund as head of press and public affairs in 2010, and became assistant director of communications (external affairs) in 2014, before taking up his current role in March 2016.
Before joining the Fund, Patrick was head of public affairs at Age Concern and Age UK and prior to this he was director of external affairs at the Resolution Foundation, helping to establish what was then a new organisation working in public policy.
This followed more than eight years at the housing charity Shelter. Patrick began his career in the civil service and worked as a private secretary to the Lord Chancellor.
