Nicola is Assistant Director of Leadership at The King's Fund and she also leads our cross-fund programme on integrated care.
She was a director in the health consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers for five years before joining the Fund in 2012.
Nicola has a track record of delivering and evaluating complex change programmes in health care. She has worked in and with the NHS for more than 25 years first as a clinician, then as a researcher at the Centre of Health Economics in York and at the University of Birmingham, and more recently as a non-executive director.
Nicola has a Masters in Health Policy and Management and a PhD in Health Services Research. Her PhD thesis focused on the nature of change in and by general practice. Her work focuses on using research evidence to inform and support the implementation of new policies. Her particular areas of interest and expertise are primary care, integrated care, clinical leadership and commissioning.
Nicola is a trustee of a national charity, the Queen's Nursing Institute and has recently been appointed a member of an expert advisory group looking into future models of care set up by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
