Mo was Chief Executive of South East London Doctors Co-Operative (SELDOC), one of the largest GP co-operatives in the UK with some 500 principal GP members. Mo was instrumental in changing the structure/governance of SELDOC and with the new corporate platform diversified the organisation into a number of subsidiary businesses.
Mo has a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine and a Masters in Business Administration (major in Strategic Management) and has completed the Chartered Directors programme at the Institute of Directors. Mo has spent a varied career in NHS Management, commencing as a podiatrist, followed by various posts in mental health, primary care and community services, commissioning and performance management.
Mo's experience and knowledge saw him lead on practice-based commissioning (PBC) while at SELDOC. He has written and spoken on PBC at a national level and continues to be an adviser to a number of PBC groups in the country.
Mo is a member of the NHS Forward Thinking Group, holds membership of the Institute of Directors, is an accredited assessor for Investors in People and is the Deputy Lead on Social Enterprise NHS Network. He is also a special adviser to the NHS Alliance.
