Who are we?

The King’s Fund is a leading charity that helps to shape policy and transform services to improve health and social care in England.

What is the role?

As a member of the senior team in the policy directorate, you will possess an extensive and detailed knowledge of health, social care or local government policy and practice in England, gained through extensive experience at senior level within the health, social care or local government sectors.

You will lead work to position the Fund so that it will maximise its relevance, credibility and impact across all of its functions with local authorities. You will help translate the delivery and strategic direction for local government - such as finance reform and improvement - to ensure the impact on health and care is understood and maximised across the Fund. Excellent collaboration skills will enable you to work effectively across all parts of the Fund.

Excellent research skills will be required, along with the ability to publish and present your research at the highest level to sure impact. You will be an excellent communicator, with the skills and confidence to comment on health and social care policy in England and to engage with and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.

You will be a highly motivated individual with a desire to generate ideas and see them translated into policy, practice and new business models.
