Time to Think Differently - what next?

Over the past six months we've had an incredible response to our Time to Think Differently programme, with thousands of visitors to the website, hundreds of comments on our guest blogs and a far-reaching debate that has explored the future of health and social care in England.

But we haven't finished yet.

The next phase of the programme will focus on crystallising the ideas for change. Over the next few months, we will produce four perspective pieces, focusing on NHS estates, the workforce, patients and technology, with blogs to give an international viewpoint on these topics.

We will also continue to produce new content for the website, including:

  • briefings that consider different options for funding health care
  • a downloadable slidepack on future health care trends
  • new video interviews discussing the next steps for the health and social care system, starting with Sir Muir Gray.

And in the future?

Looking further ahead we will undertake longer-term work to support the NHS and social care in making change happen. This will involve The King's Fund working with teams, organisations and whole systems to develop their clinical and health care delivery strategies. We will help boards frame the key strategic questions that they should be asking themselves, drawing on the insights and learning from the Time to Think Differently programme.
