John Coakley: what are the future challenges for the hospital workforce?
John Coakley, Medical Director, Homerton Hospital NHS Trust, believes one of the main challenges for the hospital workforce is dealing with the chaotic work patterns and long hours seen in A&E and intensive care units. By training people to be comfortable delivering more treatment in the home, he believes we could reduce demand in hospitals, particularly for older people.

This is very interesting-I find the KF material very helpful.
A general comment-I am curious as to why there is so little on the NHS largest workforce however and its potential to address a lot of the issues around self management and management of complex care/admission avoidance.
