A standards framework for delivering effective health and social care advocacy for black and minority ethnic Londoners
Minority communities can face a range of barriers when accessing or using health and social care services. Advocacy can enable their voices to be heard.
This framework offers a set of standards for health and social care advocacy services catering for black and minority ethnic communities and a process for implementing these standards.
This standards framework is the result of a consultancy partnership project by Silkap Consultants and the Office for Public Management, funded by The King's Fund. It can be used by advocacy providers, commissioners, and funders to develop a code of practice, as a good practice checklist, or as a guideline for developing services.
