The NHS has committed itself to achieving race equality. However, recent evidence suggests that progress towards this goal has been limited, with resource constraints the most commonly cited reasons for inaction. Commissioned by the Department of Health Race for Health programme and produced by the King’s Fund, this paper explores whether a ‘business case’ can be made to promote race equality.
