Radical rethink required on care

If the NHS were a country it’s spending would now rank in the top 25 per cent of the world’s nations; greater than the GDP of New Zealand or Luxembourg. And after nearly a decade of unprecedented funding increases the NHS is now the biggest spending department, equivalent to defence and education combined. But the next few years are going to be much tougher, as the Foundation Trusts’ planning submissions suggest.
