Don't rush in where doctors fear to tread

This is the wrong time for radical reform of the NHS. It risks poorer care and financial chaos

Since the general election the Government has moved quickly to reform the NHS, with the aim of bringing performance up to the level of the best health care systems in the world. While its plans are ambitious and may help to improve patient care, they also contain risks that could reverse some of the gains of recent years.
