Day five: Volunteers in acute trusts

Santa's elves are said to make the toys in Santa's workshop and take care of his reindeer. Arguably, without their contribution Christmas would not be the same. The same can be said for more than 78,000 volunteers who give about 13 million hours a year to acute trusts in England to improve patient experience and the quality of services. See our work on volunteering in health and social care and in acute trusts.
