Patient Experience Network National Awards 2012
A number of projects have been shortlisted for the Patient Experience Network National Awards which will be announced in January 2012.
- Creating the Wansbeck Oasis – an environment for care at end of life – Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
- Ward design for patients with acute medical care needs and dementia – Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (also shortlisted in Personalisation of Care category)

Building Better Healthcare Awards 2011
Winner:
- The bereavement suite project at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust won the Best Interior Design Award
- The Time Garden at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust won the Best Landscape/External Space Award
Highly commended:
- Ward 9 at James Cook University Hospital in the Best Response to DH Policy Award
- The Garden of Gifts at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust in the Best Landscape/External Space Award category

National Dementia Care Awards 2011
Finalist:
- Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust were shortlisted for Best Exterior Dementia Design for their ward garden at New Cross Hospital

Finalist:
- Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust were shortlisted in the Care of Older People category
- Sue Wood, the EHE team leader from Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, was shortlisted for Nursing Times Nurse of the Year
