Bluebird Lodge Intermediate Care Centre, a new purpose-built unit
Aims and outcomes
The trust's intermediate care services were being relocated to Bluebird Lodge. The project team wanted to create a homely atmosphere within the unit, with a focus on the reception, lounge and garden areas.
A key design theme was the inclusion of work by local artists, and soft furnishings were also used to create a soft and homely feel. The garden was enhanced with soft landscaping to provide sheltered seating areas.
