Aims and outcomes
In undertaking the project, the team wanted to make a positive impact in a part of the hospital environment that did not usually get much attention.
The aim was to create a space within the ward that could be used for socialising and rehabilitation.
A specially-commissioned stained glass window, designed to reflect the hospital's heritage, was installed. The window, which uses bright, uplifting colours, creates a focal point for the social area and is also used by patients during reminiscence therapy.
