Seclusion facilities at Naseberry Court
Aims and outcomes
The project aim was to redesign the existing seclusion facilities in Naseberry Court to provide a more therapeutic area. An architect was commissioned to redesign a single room area to include ensuite facilities, and also to refurbish an adjacent corridor.
A specially commissioned piece of furniture provides both a bed and chair, to allow nursing staff to sit with patients if required. A 'chromoclock' was installed in the room to add visual interest. All surfaces were designed to be flush with walls to prevent injury.
