The Yorkshire Suite discharge lounge at Pinderfields Hospital
Aims and outcomes
The focus of the project was to improve privacy and functionality in the hospital's discharge lounge, which is housed in a portakabin. The existing discharge lounge was very cluttered, poorly lit and offered little choice of seating.
An extension was added to the rear of the portakabin to accomodate the toilets, a new lift, a small quiet room and an outside space. New seating areas and a new office area has given patients more choice of seating and more privacy.
