Waiting area for F and G clinics in the outpatients department
Aims and outcomes
The outpatients' reception and waiting area had not been refurbished since the hospital was built in the 1970s. There was a lack of space for medical records, and nurses did not have dedicated workstations.
The project team wanted to address these issues as well as others, including poor light levels and an unsightly view through the waiting area windows. A minimalist design scheme was chosen, with vibrant colours and comfortable, modern seating areas.
