Aims and outcomes

The location of the unit within a large industral estate gave it an anonymous feel, and the team wanted to instil it with a sense of identity. The aim of the project was to give patients, staff and visitors a good impression on their approach to the unit and to provide a safe and pleasant outside space for patients, relatives, carers and staff.

The entrance to the unit, previously used as a car park, now provides a restful garden for service users.
