The NHS at 60 – time to retire or time to renew?

On 25 June 2008 The King's Fund and the BMJ hosted a live, two-hour debate to mark the 60th anniversary of the NHS.

Chaired by broadcaster and journalist John Humphrys, the motion was proposed by Luke Johnson and Karol Sikora and opposed by Paul Corrigan and Polly Toynbee.
