Mark Lubliner is the Deputy Medical Director at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mark trained as a doctor at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). Following paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital, he embarked upon a health services management career, during which he completed an MBA and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
Mark has a strong interest in clinical leadership and governance, organisational development, and health informatics. He has previously worked in various senior health commissioning and provider roles, including clinical advisor at the Victorian Department of Human Services, Medical Director at The Alfred, a specialist teaching hospital (Melbourne, Australia), and consultant to the former South East London Strategic Health Authority.
In these roles, Mark has successfully led several high-profile quality and safety initiatives across both clinical and non-clinical areas, and has co-ordinated strategic service planning, policy development and medicolegal services. Through a Senior Lecturer appointment, Mark has designed and delivered a health systems, management and policy course for Monash University medical students, and has taught and coached Masters level students. Outside of work, Mark actively pursues his passion for photography, learning languages, and travel.
