Marilyn Boggust

Marilyn is an experienced health care consultant who has worked in health care for over 30 years. After qualifying as a registered nurse she worked in a number of clinical, management, executive and consultancy roles. Marilyn has a background in change management, service redesign, quality improvement and personal and organisational development.

Marilyn worked as executive director of nursing and organisational development in two acute and primary care trusts and has led a number of extensive healthcare service redesign programmes, both in the UK and internationally. Marilyn has also been involved in a number of major projects to design new hospitals, which has led to innovative service design, supported by improved operational and clinical processes. Marilyn joined the NHS Modernisation Agency to work on developing and delivering the national Strategic Leadership of Clinical Governance programme for NHS Trust Boards.

As a Director with the NHS Clinical Governance Support Team (CGST) Marilyn was responsible for establishing and leading the CGST’s international healthcare consultancy business and for providing consultancy counsel to a wide range of international healthcare clients in the areas of service and operational improvement, management, clinical governance and organisational development, with particular emphasis on quality and clinical improvement.
